INSURANCE

Delegates are encouraged to purchase travel insurance before leaving their home country. Insurance plans typically cover accidental loss of belongings, medical costs and other risks of international traveling.

CLIMATE

The city of Belém features a predominantly hot and humid climate, with temperatures typically ranging between 30°C and 35°C. It is characterized by consistently high temperatures throughout the year and holds the distinction of being the rainiest state capital in the country.

ELECTRICITY

The electricity supply is 110V but there are 220V outlets identified in most hotels. Please ensure to bring the right converter and adaptor for your electrical equipment.

Brazil International Airport – Belém (Júlio Cezar Ribeiro Airport)

An important connection facility with the Brazilian Amazon, the Júlio Cezar Ribeiro Airport (Val-de-Cans) connects the city of Belém to national and international destinations, as well as to places that are difficult to access.

The notable vocation for business and tourism in the city of Belém, which concentrates a large part of the productive activities of the State of Pará, is reflected in the importance of the airport for the North region.

Located 12 km from the center of the capital, the futuristic architecture of the project optimizes natural lighting and has elements that enhance the natural and cultural aspects of the Amazon.

Every day the airport handles an average of 9,300 passengers, 95 flights and 66,535 kg of air cargo.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION AT BELEM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

There is only one official company and taxis are to be found on the same level you exit. If you pay cash you can pay directly to the driver, if you use credit card it is advisable to pre pay at their kioki (not all drivers carry a cc machine). The ride cost is pre fixed according to the city area you are travelling to.
